Therapy is not about fixing you, it's about finding a way to heal yourself.
Hello, I’m Anna. I know it can be daunting to seek the support of a counsellor, especially when you’re feeling fragile or vulnerable. But you’ve taken a courageous first step by being here. Let me share how I can support you.
I am passionate about supporting people to understand the factors affecting their mental health and increase their self-awareness to bring more balance, resilience and contentment to their lives. Through my work with clients, I have developed a greater appreciation of the human experience and how our life histories can have such a profound impact on our wellbeing.

As I have personal experience of living with addictions, changing countries and professions – not belonging - I approach people from a position of somebody who is also still struggling with life and has compassion to client’s struggles, rather than an expert with a ready-made solution.
Life’s challenges can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, trauma, or just feeling stuck, counselling offers a path to help and change.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out for a free initial consultation. Together, we can navigate life’s complexities and work towards a more balanced and meaningful future for you.
Counselling is designed to help you take charge of your life, make choices that serve your best interests, and start making deliberate, positive changes to create the life you envision. I offer a supportive environment where you can express yourself openly and be truly heard. By listening without judgment, I support you in exploring your concerns and uncovering the sources of negative emotions or obstacles to being your authentic self. Rather than directing or advising you, we will work together as partners to encourage the growth and change you seek.
I believe trust and respect are essential in a therapeutic relationship. I will provide a confidential environment where you can feel safe enough to discuss your concerns. With empathy and without judgement or personal bias, I will listen to you. Together, we will examine your experiences and difficulties at a pace that feels comfortable for you, understanding how challenging it can be to talk about personal problems. Therapy is most effective when you are willing to reflect on yourself and, in time, address aspects of your history that may be hard to discuss at first.
We'll set a regular weekly time for our sessions, which can take place either in-person or online. How long we work together depends entirely on your needs - whether you're seeking short-term solutions or strategies for managing longer-term challenges. I will also carry out regular check-ins to ensure we're aligned with your therapy goals.
As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to your unique needs, drawing from various therapeutic methods. I believe in the importance of the relationship between us, building trust and rapport to facilitate change. In our sessions, you can share your thoughts and feelings with the assurance that everything will be treated with respect and confidentiality.
My approach is integrative, meaning it includes several theoretical approaches which in my view suit best my values and my views on human nature and development.
My aim is to create a safe, stable, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Here, you’ll be heard, validated, and accepted. I am here to support you through any difficulties and problems you are facing. My goal is to encourage you to make positive changes in your life and help you find the tools you need to overcome these challenges and see a clearer path forward.
Counselling is also a journey of self-discovery, where you can explore your inner world, recognize patterns in your relationships and behaviours, and gain new perspectives. I believe everyone has the potential for growth, even when it feels daunting. Together, we can uncover the strength and resources you need to move forward.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate. I adhere to the ethical framework set out by the BACP, ensuring that I work with you in a safe, professional, and empowering manner - helping you to explore your options and determine the direction you wish to take.
In line with best practice and BACP membership requirements, I regularly undertake supervision with another qualified and specially trained counsellor. Through these confidential sessions, I reflect on my client work, benefit from an alternative, experienced perspective, and ensure your safety and the quality of our work together are always prioritised.
To keep my counselling practice relevant and valuable, I attend continuous professional development (CPD) events and workshops. These are some recent ones:
My approach is integrative, meaning it includes several theoretical approaches which in my view suit best my values and my views on human nature and development.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on +44 7368655164 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
We will agree a regular weekly time and our sessions can be in-person or online. The length of time we work together is completely up to you; you might be looking to explore possible solutions for short-term issues, or better ways to manage longer-term struggles. I will conduct regular reviews to make sure that we are staying true to your therapy goals.
I offer a free initial assessment of up to 20 minutes via telephone or online. This gives you the opportunity to share your reasons for therapy and for me to describe how I work. We can then both see how we feel about working together. There is no obligation to commit to any further sessions at this time. Please contact me to arrange this.
Should we decide to work together, each session will be 50 minutes in duration and typically scheduled on a weekly basis. My rates are £50 for online sessions and £65 for in-person sessions. We can have a 20 minute phone or online assessment appointment (free of charge) before starting full length sessions. All in-person sessions are conducted in a private therapy room located in Bromley. Email me to enquire.
Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours' notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any session missed. I accept payments via bank transfer.
I work from my practice address at 61 College Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 3QG, and support clients from across Bromley, Lewisham, Catford and Beckenham.
Online therapy provides a flexible and accessible way to receive support from the comfort of your own home. Please get in touch to find out more about how online sessions work and whether they may be right for you.
